Ok developers, if you haven't heard of this yet Unsanity has created an InputManager plugin called Smart Crash Reports. To sum up the entire story, this plugin allows the user to send the crash report to you as a developer, rather than only Apple.
But what makes this exceedingly useful is the system profile it attaches along with it. So far, on the crashes I've received, I notice that all the systems have 2GB of RAM on OS 10.4.9 Intel. Does it mean anything? Probably not.
This plugin works for any application which contains an Info.plist file, because you only need to add a couple keys to it. For Cocoa developers, you can even offer to install SCR for the user without any additional downloads.
Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
